Earlier, Tedesco said Courtois had a grudge against the coach because of a disagreement, which was the reason for his departure from the national team. According to media reports, the goalkeeper was unhappy that the coaching staff decided to give the captain's band to forward Romelu Lukaku for the Euro 2024 qualification match and not him.
Tedesco took charge of the Belgian national team in February 2023. The specialist has signed a one-year contract with the team. Under the guidance of the coach the team had two wins and once played in a draw.
