22-year-old Real Madrid and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has set a new record, becoming the youngest player ever to reach 50 appearances in the UEFA Champions League.
Bellingham, who started in the group stage Matchday 4 fixture against Liverpool, broke the previous record held by former Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas. He achieved the milestone at just 22 years and 155 days old, becoming the youngest player to reach 50 appearances in the main draw of the Champions League.
According to UEFA’s official communications department, Bellingham actually made his 50th appearance in Europe’s premier club competition at the age of 22 years and 128 days.
Prior to joining the Madrid club, the Englishman played for Borussia Dortmund.
This season, he has scored four goals and provided two assists across 16 matches in all competitions. His contract with Real Madrid runs through June 30, 2029. Transfermarkt currently estimates the English midfielder at €180 million.
