Benfica forward Andreas Schjelderup received a 14-day suspended sentence for distributing pornographic material containing images of minors. This was reported by VG.
This incident occurred when the footballer was 19 years old and playing for Danish club Nordsjælland. According to the player, he sent the video to a teammate without fully realizing its content, having only seen the initial frames.
After his friend pointed out the illegality of distributing such content, the forward immediately deleted the video file. He subsequently claimed that he fully cooperated with the investigation. In addition to the two-week suspended sentence, the court in Copenhagen also set a probation period of one year for the footballer.
Schjelderup moved to Benfica from Nordsjælland in January 2023, and he temporarily returned to the Danish club on loan during the 2023-24 season. In the 2025-26 season, Schjelderup has recorded 2 goals and 2 assists in 17 matches played for Benfica across all competitions.
