Bild edition reported that 37-year-old Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will be able to return to the field after recovering from injury no earlier than 2024.
The goalkeeper broke his shinbone in December 2022 while skiing and missed the second half of last season.
According to the source, Neuer is suffering pain in his leg after having a fixation screw removed from his foot. The club is concerned that the goalkeeper will not be able to start training with the team until 2024.
Neuer has been playing for Bayern since July 2011 after transferring from Schalke. The goalkeeper has 488 matches, missed 384 goals and kept 233 clean sheets.
