English club Birmingham City announced plans to build a new stadium. The club's current arena, St Andrew's, has a capacity of 29,409 spectators.

The proposed arena is designed to hold 62,000 fans and is estimated to cost around £2.5 billion. It is also expected that the stadium will be equipped with a retractable roof and a movable pitch.

It is noted that a distinctive feature of the new stadium's design will be 12 towers styled as smokestacks, referencing the region's industrial past.
