According to Opta, 18-year-old Chelsea forward Estevao Willian has made history in the Champions League, becoming only the third player under the age of 19 to score in each of his first three starting appearances.
In the match against Barcelona on November 26, the young forward scored a goal, making the score 2-0 in the 55th minute, which helped Chelsea secure a 3-0 victory in their home Matchday 5 group stage match of the UCL.
Before this, Estevao had scored in the Matchday 3 game against Ajax (1-0) and the Matchday 4 game against Qarabag (2-2), in which he also started. Prior to those matches, his participation in the Champions League was limited to substitute appearances.
Previously, the achievement of scoring goals in all three debut UCL starts before reaching the age of 20 had only been accomplished by 18-year-old Kylian Mbappe and 19-year-old Erling Haaland.
