Ukrainian midfielder Mykhailo Mudryk, who is currently temporarily suspended from football due to doping issues, has been included by Chelsea in their squad for the 2025/26 season. This information was confirmed on the official Premier League website.
At the end of last year, Mudryk tested positive for meldonium. Since then, the Ukrainian player has not participated in any official matches.
Earlier reports indicated that Chelsea may consider legal action against Mudryk if it is confirmed that he intentionally used banned substances. The club could seek damages for breaching the terms of his contract. Chelsea's first match of the new Premier League season will be against Crystal Palace at their home ground.
