According to The Athletic, several Chelsea players who have been put on the transfer list began preseason training at the club's facilities last week, while the main team was in the United States for the Club World Cup.
The players in question include Joao Felix, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Renato Veiga, Armando Broja, and Alfie Gilchrist. It's noted that Chelsea's management prefers to sell these players rather than loan them out.
Additionally, Chelsea no longer counts on attackers Raheem Sterling and Christopher Nkunku, who are attracting interest from Bayern Munich.
Moreover, striker Nicolas Jackson has lost his "untouchable" status and could be sold if an attractive offer comes in.
On top of that, Chelsea intend to sell defender Ishe Samuels-Smith and have already held talks with Strasbourg. Midfielder Kendry Paez, defender Aaron Anselmino, and goalkeeper Mike Penders may be loaned to the same French Ligue 1 club for the 2025/2026 season.
Last season, the London club finished fourth in the Premier League. On the European stage, Chelsea won the UEFA Europa Conference League and was crowned the Club World Cup champion, which was recently held in the United States.
