Chelsea midfielder and England national team player Cole Palmer explained why he arrived at the 2025 Club World Cup in the USA wearing a medical mask.
Recently, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca stated at a press conference that it was a joke from the 23-year-old midfielder.

It wasn’t a joke, I just don’t like the smell of planes. That’s why I wear a mask. Enzo doesn’t know. I didn’t tell him, and he didn’t ask me to be fair!
It is worth noting that Chelsea won their opening match in the group stage of the Club World Cup 2025 in the USA, defeating local team Los Angeles 2-0.
The FIFA Club World Cup is taking place from June 15 to July 13, 2025, in the USA. The updated tournament features 32 teams from all six continents.
