According to COPE, forward Marcus Rashford of Manchester United and the England national team is nearing a loan move to Barcelona until June 2026.
It has been reported that Barcelona's management has agreed on the terms of the deal with Manchester United, which includes an option to buy the 27-year-old striker. However, if Barcelona do not activate this option, they will owe a compensation fee of five million euros. The cost to fully sign Rashford would range from 30 to 35 million euros.
On July 22, Mundo Deportivo reported that the British player successfully completed a medical examination at Barcelona. The report also mentioned that Rashford is expected to be presented to the team as a new signing for the Blaugrana on the same day.
Rashford spent the second half of the 2024/2025 season on loan at Aston Villa, playing ten Premier League matches, scoring four goals, and providing two assists, as well as participating in four UEFA Europa League matches (two assists). His current contract with Manchester United runs until the end of June 2028, with Transfermarkt estimating him at 50 million euros.
