
Atletico Madrid forward Ángel Correa may be suspended for insulting the referee during the 27th round of La Liga against Getafe (1-2).
The Argentine received a red card at the end of the match and verbally abused the referee and his mother. These remarks were included in the match report.
According to Marca, La Liga's regulations stipulate a suspension of 4 to 12 matches for insulting or disrespectful remarks directed at the main referee, assistants, fourth official, officials, or sporting authorities.
So far this season, Correa has played 38 matches for Atletico across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. The club is currently in third place in the La Liga standings with 56 points.
