Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., the son of Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr striker and 2016 European Champion Cristiano Ronaldo, has been selected to join the Portugal U-15 national team for an international tournament in Croatia.
This invitation to the national team was the first for the 13-year-old athlete, born on June 17, 2010, and playing for the junior team of Al Nassr. The U-15 team will play three matches against their peers from England, Greece, and Japan.
The 40-year-old Ronaldo Sr. has been playing for Al Nassr since January 2023, with his current contract with the Riyadh club running until the end of June 2025. In the 2024/2025 season, the star player has appeared in 27 matches in the Saudi Pro League, scoring 23 goals and providing three assists, along with playing eight matches in the AFC Champions League (where he scored eight goals). Transfermarkt currently estimates Ronaldo at €12 million.
On April 19, Sport Bible reported that the Portuguese forward might leave Al Nassr to participate in the 2025 Club World Cup and could sign a short-term contract with either Chelsea or Manchester City. On April 30, Al Nassr lost to Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale (2-3) in the semi-finals of the elite AFC Champions League, ending their participation in the tournament.
