Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch commented on the team's defensive performance after a UEFA Champions League group stage Matchday 5 game, in which the Reds lost to PSV (1-4).
Peter Crouch, quoted by Goal.com
Defensively, woeful. It just didn't look like them at all. Salah is guilty of that, but I don't think there's anyone in a Liverpool shirt right now who can hold their hands up and say they've been playing well. A real frustration for all Liverpool fans. You can lose a couple of games, that's bad enough. These things can happen but it's happened too regularly and it's clear there is a deep-rooted problem there.
Liverpool are currently in 13th place in the UEFA Champions League group stage standings, having secured nine points after five matches. The Reds have conceded eight goals.
In the EPL, Arne Slot's squad is positioned 12th. Liverpool have 18 points. The Reds have conceded 20 goals in 12 games.
In the next round of the English championship, Liverpool are playing West Ham United away. The match takes place on November 30 and starts at 17:05 GMT+3.
