Daily Mirror: Chelsea and Serbian National Team Goalkeeper Petrovic to Join Sunderland

According to Daily Mirror, Chelsea goalkeeper and Serbian national team player Djordje Petrovic is set to join Sunderland.

The British tabloid reports that the transfer of the 25-year-old Serbian keeper will bring Chelsea over 24 million euros.

During the 2024/2025 season, Petrovic played on loan for League 1 team Strasbourg, appearing in 31 matches in the French league (ten games with clean sheets and 38 goals conceded). His current contract with Chelsea runs until the end of June 2030. Transfermarkt estimates the Serbian goalkeeper at around 20 million euros.

On July 1, it was announced that UEFA Nations League 2023 winner and former Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has moved to Arsenal for a transfer fee of 5.85 million euros.
