
French magazine France Football, the founder of the Ballon d'Or award, will announce the list of nominees for the award for 2025 on August 7. This was reported by the press service of the award.
The award was established in 1956 by Gabriel Hanot, former editor-in-chief of France Football. The first winner of the award was English footballer Stanley Matthews.
Last year, the award went to Manchester City's Spanish midfielder Rodri.
Earlier, Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal commented on his race for the Ballon d'Or.
