Aurelio De Laurentiis, the owner and president of Napoli football club, expressed gratitude to Antonio Conte for his contribution as head coach of the team.
Earlier there was information about the 55-year-old specialist's possible departure from the club, and the most likely candidate for his replacement is Massimiliano Allegri. De Laurentiis also wished Conte good luck in his future career.
Aurelio De Laurentiis, quoted by Goal
I must give a sentimental embrace to this man, because he took on a team that was on the brink of disaster and together we reinforced it. So for him who took us all the way to win the second Scudetto in three years, I ask for an applause, thank you, thank you, thank you!
Conte has coached Napoli since 2024. Under his leadership, the team from Naples won the title of Italian champions in the season-2024/25.
On Tuesday, reports emerged that Juventus were considering Conte's return. The coach has already worked at the Turin club from 2011 to 2014, leading the team to win the Italian championship three times.
