Defensa Central has reported that Real Madrid's management is exploring the possibility of selling forward Vinicius Junior in 2026.
The source states that los Blancos struggle to negotiate a contract extension with the 25-year-old forward, whose current deal expires at the end of June 2027. On June 28, The Athletic reported that Vinicius is seeking an annual salary of 30 million euros, including a bonus for contract renewal. If the Real Madrid management does not reach a compromise, they plan to sell the Brazilian by 2026.
Vinicius has been part of Real Madrid since July 2018, after transferring from Flamengo. In the 2024/2025 season, he played 30 matches in La Liga, scoring 11 goals and providing ten assists, and featured in 12 UEFA Champions League matches (eight goals and three assists). Transfermarkt currently estimates Vinicius Junior at 170 million euros.
