De Telegraaf journalist Jeroen Kapteijns has commented on Spartak's signing of Twente striker Manfred Ugalde.
Ugalde has signed a contract until the summer of 2028 and will wear the number 9 jersey.

Ugalde is a physically strong forward with good scoring ability. He plays the number 9 role and he has an instinct to be in the right position. So I think he can be a good player for Spartak.
Earlier Telecomasia.net reported that the player has successfully passed a medical examination and should soon sign a contract with the club. It was reported that the Moscow club offered Twente €11.8 million for the player, not including bonuses.
The Costa Rican's contract with Twente was valid until the end of June 2027. The Transfermarkt website estimates the market value of 21-year-old Ugalde at €5 million.
