Former Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane will soon return to football as the head coach of the French national team, El Nacional reports.
According to the outlet, the French Football Federation has already reached a preliminary agreement with Zidane. Current coach Didier Deschamps will continue working with the team until the end of the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, after which he will give the post to Zinedine Zidane.
It is noted that during his break from coaching Zidane turned down several club offers because he wanted to work exclusively with the French national team.
Earlier, as Real Madrid’s head coach, Zidane won many prestigious trophies, including three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles.
