EPL Clubs Want to Introduce Maximum Wage

Teams in the English Premier League (EPL) are going to introduce a salary cap.

According to The Times, the cost of player fees are the largest in the clubs' budgets. According to the idea, the salaries would be based on the amount the last club in the league receives from television rights.

If the idea is eventually approved, the payroll of the top clubs will be limited to an amount four times the income of the 20th club in the league from television rights. However, it is specified that the proportions of salary budgets would be discussed further.

Recall that Manchester City won the English championship for the 2022/23 season, Arsenal won the silver medal and Manchester United took third place.
