FIFA Council Did Not Discuss Suspension of Israel

The participation of Israeli national teams and clubs in international competitions was not on the official agenda of the FIFA Council meeting in Zurich, according to the organization’s website.

Earlier, UK outlet Sky Sports reported that UEFA postponed the discussion on suspending Israel from international competitions, citing progress in resolving the situation in Gaza.

BBC notes that despite the issue not being officially listed on FIFA Council’s agenda, it might be discussed under “Any Other Business.”

Previously, the list of countries that called on UEFA to suspend Israel was revealed.
