FIFA has imposed restrictions on the registration of new players for the Saudi club Al-Nassr. This information was published on the federation's official website.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the reason for the transfer ban could be an unpaid debt to England's Manchester City for the transfer of defender Aymeric Laporte in 2023. It is stated that the Saudi club still owes the Citizens approximately €9 million. The deadline for payment was August 31.
Last autumn, Laporte left Al-Nassr to join Athletic Bilbao. Five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo plays for the Saudi club.
