FIFA May Sanction Luis Enrique and Joao Neves for Behavior in Club World Cup Final

PSG head coach Luis Enrique, who had a scuffle with Chelsea forward Joao Pedro after losing the Club World Cup final (0-3), along with Joao Neves, who received a red card, may face disciplinary action from FIFA.

L'Equipe reports that the standard disciplinary measures applied at the Club World Cup do not extend to other club or international competitions. However, FIFA is taking time to review the situation rather than announcing their decision immediately after the final.

The FIFA Disciplinary Committee will soon decide whether to launch an investigation into the incident based on reports from match officials, including the referee's report. Should they choose to proceed, potential sanctions could range from a monetary fine to suspensions.

Furthermore, if a decision is made to impose a ban, FIFA reserves the right to extend it to other competitions, including national leagues or matches involving national teams.
