FIFA reported on its official site that the 2025 summer transfer window saw a record volume of transfers in both men’s and women’s football.
About 12,000 transfers were registered in men’s football between early June and early September, while women’s football exceeded 1,100 moves.
Total transfer spending reached a historic high of $9.76 billion, up 50% from the same period in 2024. England led the list of the biggest spenders, surpassing $3 billion. Liverpool set a new single-window club record, spending €483 million in the latest summer window.
