According to Mundo Deportivo, five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is scheduled to visit the White House on Tuesday for a meeting with American President Donald Trump.
It was previously reported that Ronaldo was interested in a meeting with the 47th head of state. It is known that the footballer has not visited the USA since 2017, which was due to a lawsuit filed against him by US citizen Kathryn Mayorga, who accused him of sexual assault that allegedly occurred in Las Vegas in 2009. However, in 2019, the prosecution dropped the charges against Ronaldo due to a lack of evidence, and he was finally cleared in 2023 following a renewed lawsuit filed in October of the same year.
The 40-year-old Ronaldo is a five-time Ballon d'Or winner. He has also won the Champions League five times, is a European Champion, and holds the number one spot on the list of all-time top goal scorers in football history by the number of goals scored in official matches. Since the beginning of 2023, the Portuguese has been playing for the Saudi club Al-Nassr, and previously played for teams such as Sporting CP in Portugal, Manchester United in England, Real Madrid in Spain, and Juventus in Italy.
