Fluminense took the lead with a goal from Matheus Martinelli in the 40th minute. Al-Hilal responded with a goal from Marcos Leonardo early in the second half, leveling the score at 1-1. However, Hercules scored again for Fluminense in the 70th minute, securing their victory at 2-1.
With this win, Fluminense progressed further in the tournament, advancing to the semi-final.
