Football Insider states that West Ham United’s central midfielder James Ward-Prowse may leave the club during the 2026 winter transfer window.
New West Ham head coach Nuno Espirito Santo reportedly does not plan to rely on the 30-year-old former England international. Ward-Prowse might go back to Southampton, the Championship team where he started.
Ward-Prowse has been with West Ham since August 2023. In the 2025-2026 season, he played five Premier League games but did not make any productive actions. His contract with West Ham runs until June 2027. Transfermarkt estimates him at €8 million.
