Former Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey has become a Villarreal player, as announced by the Spanish club on its social networks.
The 32‑year‑old Ghanaian signed a one‑year deal with the La Liga side.
In July the player was accused of five counts of rape. All incidents are said to have occurred in 2021 and 2022. On Wednesday, 6 August, he was released on bail.
Partey played for Arsenal from 2020 until 2025 and left the club this summer as a free agent.
