Former Belgian National Team Striker Injured In Shootout In Brussels

The forward of Belgian club Virton and former striker of the Belgian national team Ilombe Mboyo was wounded in a shootout in Brussels. This is reported by HLN.

According to the source, the shooting occurred as a result of a conflict between criminal groups involved in the illicit drug trade. Four people were accidentally injured, including Mboyo. The footballer was wounded in the arm.

Mboyo moved to Virton in the previous winter transfer window. The 36-year-old Belgian took part in 16 matches in all tournaments this season, scoring six goals. He also played two games for the national team of Belgium in 2012.

Earlier, the father of Liverpool midfielder Luis Diaz was rescued from kidnapping during a shootout between Colombian police officers and perpetrators.
