Former Brazil Striker Robinho Speaks About Life in Prison

Former Brazilian striker Robinho stated that he has no privileges in prison. In 2024, he was sentenced to nine years in prison for participating in a gang rape.

According to him, he was never treated differently; he ate the same food as everyone else. Despite the difficulties, he said he has always kept his mind clear.

Robinho said in a video posted by the Taubaté Public Council:

I have never received any kind of benefit. Visits are on Saturdays or Sundays. When my wife comes she does not come alone, she comes with my children.

Robinho played for clubs such as Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Milan. Throughout his club career, he won trophies like the Spanish and Italian championships. With the Brazilian national team, he won the Confederations Cup in 2005 and 2009, as well as the Copa America in 2007.
