According to information published by insider Fabrizio Romano on social media, Fluminense defender Thiago Silva plans to change clubs and move to one of the European football leagues.
According to the source, the 41-year-old Silva is considering a move to a European team as a free agent. The player's current agreement with Fluminense is valid until the summer of 2026, but, according to Globo, the management of the Brazilian club is ready to meet the player halfway and terminate the contract. The main reason is Silva's desire to be close to his family, who live in England.
Previously, the Calciomercato website reported interest in Silva's services from Italian club AC Milan. The footballer already played for this club from 2009 to 2012, winning the Italian championship and the Super Cup. After Milan, Silva's career included French club PSG and English club Chelsea.
In the past Brazilian Serie A season, Silva took part in 25 games, scoring two goals.
