
Edouard Mendy, who previously guarded the net for London's Chelsea and now plays in the Saudi league, has signed a new contract with his current team, Al-Ahli.
According to the club's press service, the new agreement with the Senegalese goalkeeper runs until mid-2028. Mendy joined Al-Ahli two years ago. Since then, the African goalkeeper has played 92 matches for the Saudi club, conceding 94 goals.
In 39 games, he managed to keep a clean sheet. Transfermarkt estimates the current value of the Senegalese player at €5 million. In 2021, while at Chelsea under Thomas Tuchel, Mendy became a Champions League winner.
