Former Palestinian National Team Player Killed in Israeli Attack

According to a statement from the Palestinian Football Association, former Palestinian national team midfielder Suleiman Al-Obeid was a victim of an Israeli attack.

The tragedy struck on Wednesday in the southern part of the Gaza Strip following an airstrike that claimed the life of the 41-year-old footballer, who is survived by his five children. The association emphasized in its statement that Al-Obeid, who scored over one hundred goals during his career, was a star of Palestinian football.

Al-Obeid played in the Palestinian league and participated in 24 matches for the national team, scoring two goals.
