
Imanol Alguacil, the former coach of Real Sociedad, has been appointed as the new head coach of Al-Shabab, as announced by the Saudi Arabian club's press office on social media.
According to reports, the 54-year-old Spanish coach has signed a contract that will last until 2027.
Alguacil was in charge of Real Sociedad from 2018, leading the team to victory in the Copa del Rey during his tenure. At the end of April, he announced that he would leave the club after the end of the season.
In the last Saudi Arabian league season, Al-Shabab finished in sixth place in the standings.
