British magazine FourFourTwo published a ranking of the main contenders to win the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League.
Topping the list is Paris Saint‑Germain, the reigning champions. Barcelona are second after reaching last season’s semifinals. Liverpool are third; they were eliminated in the round of 16 in the previous edition.
Top 10 contenders to win the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League:
- PSG;
- Barcelona;
- Liverpool;
- Real Madrid;
- Chelsea;
- Bayern;
- Arsenal;
- Manchester City;
- Napoli;
- Inter.
Note that from the 2024–25 season the Champions League group phase was replaced by a single league phase featuring 36 teams. Each club plays eight matches – two against clubs from each seeding pot.
The top eight teams after that phase advance directly to the round of 16, while teams placed 9th to 24th will play in knockout playoff ties to reach the next round.
UEFA’s press office has already published the full schedule for the 2025–26 league phase.
