French player Camavinga suffers racist insults in the run-up to the 2022 World Cup

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga was subjected to racist insults on social media after a clash with midfielder Christopher Nkunku at a training session, writes L'Equipe.

During a two-way match, Camavinga violently took the ball from Nkunku, kicking him in the legs. The RB Leipzig midfielder suffered a knee injury after that episode and will miss the World Cup in Qatar.

It was previously reported that Eintracht forward Randal Kolo Muani was included in the French World Cup 2022 bid instead of Nkunku.

The French will play Australia, Denmark and Tunisia in the group stage of the World Cup.
