According to Telecomasia.net, Spartak Moscow expect the arrival of 26-year-old Portuguese midfielder Gedson Fernandes on July 29. If any unforeseen circumstances arise, the player's arrival may be postponed by one day.
Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu previously reported that Spartak and Besiktas agreed on a transfer deal for Fernandes for 20 million euros plus 5 million euros in bonuses. Journalist Ertan Suzgün reported on July 29 that the player's car was seen near the Russian embassy, suggesting that Gedson might be there to obtain his visa for entering Russia.
Fernandes has been playing for Besiktas since July 2022 after transferring from Benfica. In his 131 matches, the midfielder has scored 18 goals and provided 16 assists. The Transfermarkt website estimates the player at 18 million euros.
