Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain, was named the best goalkeeper of 2025.
The Italian received the Yashin Trophy, named after the legendary Soviet goalkeeper. Donnarumma won the French League, French Cup, and Champions League in 2025.
The award ceremony, also held at Theatre du Chatelet in Paris and organized by France Football, covered the same season period from August 2024 to July 2025.
The top five goalkeepers competing for the Yashin Trophy included Donnarumma and last year’s winner Emiliano Martinez, Argentina’s and Aston Villa’s keeper.
