According to the Globo channel, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is negotiating a new contract, set to run until 2030, with the head coach of the country’s national team, Carlo Ancelotti.
Ancelotti’s current employment agreement with the Brazilian national team provides the Italian specialist with a salary of approximately ten million euros per year, which makes him the highest-paid coach among national teams. Furthermore, Ancelotti will receive a bonus of five million euros if Brazil wins the 2026 World Cup. The CBF is confident in Ancelotti’s professionalism and his ability to achieve significant success.
The 66-year-old coach took charge of the Canarinho in May 2025. Following the CONMEBOL qualifying group stage, the Brazilians finished fifth out of ten possible places, earning 28 points in 18 matches. Brazil’s opponents in Group C of the final World Cup stage will be the national teams of Haiti, Morocco, and Scotland.
