Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, speaking at a press conference following his team’s victory over Bournemouth in Matchday 10 of the Premier League, praised Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who has already scored 26 goals this season across all competitions for both club and country.
Erling Haaland
We played really good of course again, Erling was decisive. It's a little like when you play with Messi or Cristiano, you know? The influence is so big. Has he reached that level? You see the numbers of that guy? Oh my God, yeah, of course he's at their levels of the numbers from Cristiano and Messi. The difference of Cristiano and Messi, they have been doing it for 15 years.
Erling Haaland has been playing for Manchester City since July 2022. His contract with the English club runs through the end of June 2034. Transfermarkt currently estimates the Norwegian at €180 million.
After ten matchdays in the current Premier League season, Manchester City sit second in the standings with 19 points.
In the next round, Guardiola’s side will host Liverpool at home. The match is scheduled for November 9 and will kick off at 19:30 GMT+3.
