The fifth‑round Premier League match between London’s Arsenal and Manchester City at the Emirates took place on September 21, and ended with a draw of 1-1.
The scoring opened in the ninth minute when City striker Erling Haaland found the net. That goal was Haaland’s 91st in the English top league. He has now caught up with former Manchester United forward Ole Gunnar Solskjær on that tally and shares with him the title of the most prolific Norwegian in Premier League history.
Haaland has played for the Citizens since the summer of 2022. In total he has appeared in 151 matches, scored 130 goals and provided 21 assists.
Earlier reports also noted that Haaland became the second‑youngest player to reach 50 goals in the Champions League.
