Santos forward Neymar shared why he chose to extend his contract with his youth club. The 33-year-old player signed a new deal lasting until the end of 2025, with an option for extension.
According to Neymar, his decision was driven by his heart – he considers Santos his home, the place where his football journey began and where he feels true love and happiness.

Neymar is a product of Santos, having started his professional career with the club in 2008. In 2013, he moved to Barcelona and returned to the Brazilian club as a free agent in January 2025. He has played 237 matches for Santos, scoring 139 goals and providing 69 assists.
