Barcelona’s head coach Hans-Dieter Flick spoke to Sport.es about his dismissal at the end of the ninth round La Liga match of the 2025-26 season against Girona (2-1) due to his protest over the referee’s decisions.
The coach is upset because he will miss the game against Real Madrid.

I was applauding De Jong on the first yellow, and for the second I don't know why I got it. I would never do anything against anyone. I clapped to cheer on my team. The referee didn't want to talk to me, he left, and I accept it. He is the referee.
After the ninth round, the Blaugrana are temporarily first in the table with 22 points. Barcelona’s match against Real Madrid will take place on October 26 at 18:15 GMT+3 as part of the 10th round of La Liga.
