As reported by sports journalist Christian Falk, Bundesliga club Bayern Munich is showing interest in Midtjylland and Guinea-Bissau national team center-forward Franculino Djú.
It is noted that Bayern's sporting director, Christoph Freund, has contacted both the management of Midtjylland and the 21-year-old striker himself. However, Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund may provide competition for the Munich club in the race for Djú. Midtjylland aim to secure a fee of up to €30 million for the Bissau-Guinean.
Djú is a product of the Benfica youth system and joined Midtjylland in July 2023. In the 2025-2026 season, the forward has played 17 matches in the Danish Superliga, scoring 16 goals and providing three assists, as well as 11 matches in the UEFA Europa League (four goals).
Djú's contract with Midtjylland is valid until the end of June 2029. Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at €22 million.
