Insider Florian Plettenberg reports on social media that Dutch coach Erik ten Hag could leave his post at Bayer, but a final decision has not been made.
According to the source, a more detailed review of ten Hag’s work will take place later, and the German club does not plan to terminate his contract in the coming days.
Reports also say ten Hag himself intends to stay with the team and expects time to rebuild the squad.
Ten Hag was appointed Bayer head coach at the end of last May. His contract runs until 2027. Under his leadership the team has played three matches: one win, one loss and one draw.
Earlier, Bild reported that ten Hag might leave Bayer during the international break.
