According to sports journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United and Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana has agreed to a transfer to Turkish club Trabzonspor.
On September 6, Romano reported that Trabzonspor’s board had reached a verbal agreement to take the 29‑year‑old Red Devils goalkeeper on loan. On August 26, journalist Graeme Bailey wrote that Onana intended to leave United due to dissatisfaction with head coach Ruben Amorim’s actions.
Romano says Onana has agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor, and if the Turkish club approves the move he will travel to Turkey.
Onana joined Manchester United in July 2023 from Inter Milan. In the 2025/2026 season he has appeared only once, in an English League Cup match in which he conceded two goals. His current contract with United runs until the end of June 2028. Transfermarkt estimates the goalkeeper at €25 million.
