As reported by insider Fabrizio Romano on his social media page, forward Antoine Semenyo of Premier League club Bournemouth and the Ghana national team is close to a transfer to Manchester City.
According to available information, the 25-year-old Cherries forward was also of interest to Manchester United, but the Ghanaian himself preferred the option with the Citizens. Semenyo's representatives have already notified the Red Devils' management of the decision. The deal between the Cherries and the Sky Blues is expected to be finalized in the coming days.
On December 1, The Times reported that in the event of Semenyo's purchase, the City management would shell out a sum of €74 million.
The Ghanaian forward has played for the Red and Blacks since January 2023, after moving from Bristol City. Semenyo's current contract with Bournemouth expires at the end of June 2030. In the 2025-2026 season, the winger has made 16 appearances in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and providing three assists. Transfermarkt values the Ghanaian's market value at €65 million.
