According to sports journalist and insider Fabrizio Romano, Portuguese coach Nuno Espirito Santo has been appointed the new manager of English Premier League club West Ham United.
The 51-year-old former Portuguese national team goalkeeper and 2003-2004 UEFA Champions League winner replaces Graham Potter, who was dismissed on September 27. Santo had been unemployed since September 9 following his departure from Nottingham Forest.
Santo and the management of the team have finalized the contract terms, and the first training session under the new coach will take place on September 27.
After five rounds of the 2025-2026 Premier League season, West Ham sit 19th in the table with just three points.
