
Iranian forward Mehdi Taremi of Inter Milan has successfully left Tehran, traveling over 1,000 kilometers by car, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Sources report that the 32-year-old player departed the Iranian capital for his hometown of Bushehr. He reached out to his manager at the Italian club, spoke personally with Inter’s coach Cristian Chivu, and informed the team chat that he is safe and away from the explosions.
It has been noted that Mehdi Taremi is training on his own and is ready to join Inter at any moment for the Club World Cup taking place in the USA.
To recap, on the night of June 13, Israel announced the start of a military operation aimed at destroying Iran's nuclear and missile programs. In the morning of June 13, Iran responded with strikes against Israel.
Mehdi Taremi has been with Inter since July 2024 and has played a total of 43 matches for the club, scoring three goals and providing nine assists.
Currently, Inter are in second place in Group E of the Club World Cup 2025, trailing Argentina's River Plate while leading over Mexico's Monterrey and Japan's Urawa.
