According to Spanish publication COPE, the Spanish government has requested an investigation into Barcelona forward Lamine Yamal following his 18th birthday party.
On Sunday, July 13, the Blaugrana forward turned 18. The celebration was conducted privately with a ban on phone usage.
Reports indicate that the Association of People with Achondroplasia and Other Skeletal Dysplasias claimed Yamal hired people with dwarfism for entertainment at his birthday party. The Ministry of Social Rights has contacted the prosecutor's office to determine if there was a violation of disability laws.
Yamal has been part of the first team of the Catalan club since 2023. He boasts two La Liga championships, a Copa del Rey, and a Spanish Super Cup with Barcelona. Additionally, he won Euro 2024 with the Spanish national team.
